The City of Flagstaff Arizona, at the request of it's mobilized undocumented community has chosen to file a lawsuit against AZ SB1070, a law that mandates racial profiling and ethnic cleansing. The Repeal Coalition, an all volunteer grassroots organization, helped mobilize hundreds of undocumented people to pressure Flagstaff into filing an injunction against the law.

More than 10,000 people marched for the civil rights, equality, and human dignity of undocumented people in Phoenix today. This battle for human rights was punctuated by repressive police brutality. I was at the epicenter of this conflict. An Indigenous Solidarity bloc was formed to challenge the invisibility of Native issues in the immigration movement.

Choices for Who? Bankruptcy or Death in the Health Insurance Racket

I preface this by stating that I do not want to ruin health insurance. I simply want fair access to medical treatment for myself and the 50 million other people  without it. If you have not lived without insurance you can not fathom the terror one feels contemplating bankruptcy or death.
