Fighting Prejudice

While at Barnard, Sarosh often noticed that her community would let prejudice and racist acts pass by with out a second thought, and community members would disregard the impact they had on the community as a whole and not just the victims. Through her Blueprint, she fought against the prejudice and racism she encourntered by working with campus and local community to spread awareness about issues surrounding race, religion, ethnicity, and gender. Through media, articles, events-speakers, and day-to-day conversations, she helped address the root causes of intolerance and negativity so members of her community would be treated with the respect, dignity, equality, and all other universal rights promised in its constitution.
