IDEAS Conference for Undocuments Students

Rocio’s Blueprint sought to combat xenophobia by executing an IDEAS Conference during which high school students from all over Ventura County, mostly undocumented but also many allies, were provided with a space to discuss issues affecting the undocumented community. It also provided resources and information on how undocumented students could attend college and ways to sustain a college education. The conference provided a lot of information while also committing to opening students’ minds through creative spoken work, art, dance, and with new ways of expression.
