Emma’s Blueprint for Social Justice is advocating a more survivor-centered approach to addressing sexual violence on college campuses. With multiple Department of Education investigations open and multiple lawsuits, Kansas State University must do a better job in preventing sexual violence when possible, then supporting survivors of sexual violence. Emma hopes to do this through creating a student organization called Wildcats Against Sexual Violence. This student organization will work to change PPM3010, K-State’s policy that investigates and adjudicates sexual violence, so that K-State will investigate allegations off campus and at fraternity and sorority houses. Additionally, this student organization will work to create a better primary prevention program for students and faculty. Lastly, we will create a survivor’s bill of rights that will demand equity for all survivors at K-State.
