Amanda’s Blueprint strived to help her community become more engaged in social action and its various expressions, whether they be political, intellectual or artistic, in order to instill a greater appreciation for the arts as a means of furthering progressive movements, social awareness, and action. She worked with 5-10 school youth who were interested in social change and committed to working on a mural project to create awareness around a certain issue, set up workshops with them and other youth to educate and engage them around the issue they chose to focus on, and created a mural with participation from the community – family, youth, college students, political leaders, non profit organizations and universities.
