Did you know there is a way to impact education, health care, job training, and electoral representation in your community in less than 10 minutes? Every 10 years the United States conducts a Census of the American people. The census then determines how electoral representation and resources – like health clinics & social services –are distributed in our communities.

Rebooting Democracy

Rebooting Democracy is the Bus Project’s conference for people-powered politics. On March 26-28, 350 next-generation leaders will come together to grow their policy smarts, hone their political skills, choose shovel-ready policy priorities for 2010-11, and compete in Oregon Idol, where anyone with a good idea can audition for the chance to make their democracy dreams a reality.

Building on President Bill Clinton’s lifetime in public service, the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) reflects his belief that collaboration among leaders from all sectors of society is essential to affecting positive global change. To harness the potential of the next generation of leaders from campuses around the world, President Clinton launched CGI University (CGI U) in 2007.
