My hometown was in the news today for a little scuffle that went down in the State Senate during recess of the last day in session...
A Republican Senator hit a Democratic Senator during an argument over an election reform bill... But it sounded more like a fight during recess on the last day of school.
During recess, two Alabama Senators threw down fisty cuffs while on live, public access coverage.
Well, the audio was fuzzy, but it went something like this according to some reports:
Senator Lowell Ray Barron: Quit being an SOB!
Senator Charles Bishop: Oh no you didn't say that 'bout my momma!
Barron: Yeah? What'cha gonna do about it? We can take this outside!
Bishop: What! We can do this right now... You don't know me! I'm straight outta Jasper
Barron: Ya'll in Jasper ain't s**... like yo momma
Rest of Senate: Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Then the hall monitors, I mean, Sergeant at Arms, immediately broke them up.
