Afua Osei graduated cum laude from Allegheny College where she received the Faculty Prize for the Best Interdisciplinary Senior Thesis and the Ray Smock Political Science Prize for promise in local and state politics. Afua has served as a New Leader at the Center for Progressive Leadership and a Public Policy and International Affairs Fellow at the Heinz College School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. After graduation, Afua was selected for Campaign Corps, an EMILY’s List campaign training program and worked on campaigns in Illinois, Georgia, New York, and Maryland. Afua was also a member of the Prince George’s County Young Democrats, National Council of Negro Women Mitchellville/Bowie Section, Allegheny College Alumni Council and an avid community volunteer with DC Cares.
