Esteban Garces has worked with Tenants and Workers United, to address the need for passage of immigration reform through community meetings, mobilizations and advocacy. Esteban was a Raids Response Coordinator for the Metropolitan DC area. He has extensive volunteer and work experience with immigration law enforcement and community advocacy. In 2007, Esteban helped build the Ayuda Business Coalition in Prince William County. The Coalition was assembled to address the unfair and unsafe policing trends in Prince William County and the state of Virginia. The Coalition was successful in raising $100,000 promoting a study on the positive impact of immigrants, lobbying local and state elected officials on matters important to the immigrant community and promoting positive advertisements on television to counteract negative ones delivered. Esteban holds a Bachelor’s degree in Network Security from the University of Mary Washington.
