Heidi Vielhaber is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, where she attended Cleveland State University and received her bachelor’s degrees in nonprofit administration and health sciences. After college, Heidi moved around the country building homes with Habitat for Humanity through AmeriCorps, before attending the University of Michigan and receiving her master’s degree in higher education administration with a concentration in diversity and social justice in higher education. She currently works for the University of Colorado-Boulder as their Coordinator for Service-Learning in Residence Life. Heidi is extremely passionate about service and volunteerism, alternative breaks, social justice, diversity, student development, and cities where she has lived: Akron, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Jacksonville, Denver, Ann Arbor, and New Orleans. When not working, Heidi can be found volunteering in the community, weeding her community garden plot, watching terrible TV with her roommates, or playing with one of the pugs she fosters. Heidi was in the YP4 Class of 2008, and has been excited to engage with social justice as a YP4 mentor.
