Through her Blueprint, Iberia hoped to increase the number of former foster youth who graduate from college by creating a program that focused on linking former foster youth to summer internships, mentoring, and professional development activities. By conducting thorough research on the successes and challenges of the CA foster care system, Iberia created 3 different possible intervention programs that would help increase the rate of former foster youth graduating from higher education institutions.
