Irene has served as a Special Assistant to the Director at the National Domestic Workers Alliance, the nation’s leading voice for dignity and fairness for the millions of domestic workers in the United States. She is proud to be part of a movement that recognizes the value of care and complexity of interdependence in domestic work. Since 2003 Irene has believed that healing and liberation from violence in her personal life was synonymous with strengthening and growing her community. Irene is a graduate of Stanford University where she earned a BA in Urban Studies and MA in Anthropology. She is also a proud alumna of City Year Miami and YP4 2010.
