Mahmoud is President and founder of George Mason University’s student organization UNITED2HEAL. His organization advocates international human rights and economic justice through raising awareness and fundraising. Mahmoud has dedicated the last year attempting to utilize his networks with different student organizations to promote unity within George Mason’s fractionalized student body. Since graduating last year Mahmoud has interned with the State Department, studied Arabic abroad on a scholarship for six months, and started his own food truck business. He is excited to begin graduate school in the Fall to continue his work.
