Marianna is from Evanston, Illinois and was elected the Vice-President for Student Life at Tulane University. Through traveling on her gap year, she gained a passion for Gender Studies that morphed into an interest in queer theory, identity politics, and community organizing. Marianna is one of the co-founders of the Queer-Feminist Collective student organization. As an active student leader, Marianna strived to create a more healthy relationship between her school and the city of New Orleans.
