The gentrification of the Mission District brought a "gang list" that affected young people in a 60-block radius, limiting their freedom of movement and association. Vicente Garcia used his 2007 Young People For fellowship to organize the community to stop the gang list.

Aiman is a very involved with Wayne State University's Honors Department and Model United Nations. As well, she is the membership development chair for WSU's Circle K International alongside, she devotes her time for community service. She hopes to increase awareness about social issues, such as discrimination, especially in the workplace and school.
